Jacopo Massari recently joined the Farmitalia Saturnia team. Massari transfers from Hebar Pazardzhik, a Bulgarian club where he achieved remarkable success last season, winning the championship, cup, and super cup, and earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. After completing the necessary medical examinations, Massari is set to join his new team and will be ready to play in the upcoming match against Pallavolo Padova.
Massari’s career has been marked by significant achievements with some of Italy’s most prestigious volleyball teams. He has played for Lube Volley Civitanova, winning a Italian championship, a Champions League, and a Club World Championship; Azimut Modena, where he won an Italian Super Cup; Tonno Callipo; and most recently, Emma Villas Siena in 2021. His impressive record also includes a stint with the Italian National Team, where he helped secure a silver medal in the World Cup and a bronze medal in the European Championship in 2015.
Massari expressed his excitement about returning to Italy, noting the positive impact of his two years in Bulgaria but expressing a strong desire to compete again in Italy’s top league. He is committed to contributing to the team’s goal of staying in the league, bringing positive energy and continuous focus on improvement.
