The Suzano Volleyball team has announced the departure of their coach Fabiano Preturlon Ribeiro, known as Fabiano Magoo. Magoo, who has been leading the team since June 2023, oversaw 19 matches during his tenure, securing 12 wins. It appears that the recent defeat of his team against Araguari was a contributing factor to this decision.
Assistant coach Gerson Amorim, or Gersinho, is set to fill the head coach role for the upcoming 2023/24 Superliga season. Gersinho, who brings a wealth of experience from his time in Brazil and abroad, including a three-year stint as the head coach of Sporting Clube de Portugal’s men’s volleyball team, had joined Suzano in the early pre-season and is now stepping up as the main coach.
