The PGE Rysice Rzeszów team clinched their third win in the Champions League, overcoming the Belgian team Asterix Avo Beveren with a score of 3-1 in the fourth round of Pool D. Led by coach Stephane Antiga, Rzeszów entered the match with a solid track record of two wins and one loss, while Beveren had been grappling with three consecutive defeats.
Despite the expectation of an easy win for Rzeszów in front of their home crowd, the Asterix team put up a formidable challenge. However, Rzeszów ultimately secured all the points, maintaining their strong position.
Ann Kalandadze emerged as the top scorer of the PGE Rysice Rzeszów with 21 points, supported by Gabriela Orvosova with 16 points and Amannda Coneo contributing 14 points for the winning team. Manon Stagier led Beveren with 22 points, and Iris Vos added 16 points. Despite their efforts, Beveren couldn’t extend the match to a fifth set.
