The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) allegedly considers changing the qualification formula for the 2021 Men’s Champions League.

The CEV has changed the traditional qualification formula of home and away matches for the next edition of the men’s Champions League.

However, it seems that clubs that are to participate in this preliminary round proposed the modified format, which CEV is willing to accept: instead of six pools of three in the First Round, all teams would be put into a single pool. This would drastically reduce travel, costs, and the number of matches.

We’ll have to wait until this Friday to see if the proposal of the clubs was accepted by the governing body of European volleyball.

'instead of six pools of three in the First round, all teams would be put into a single pool.'

So, there would be one pool of 18 teams? Here's something I don't understand...

ITALIAN CUP M: Verona and Piacenza disappoint once again

Piacenza will not have a good year with Hierrezuelo setting. He arrived unprepared and cannot set the front pin hitters and bic at all. Cleverly and Russell have no idea where those sets are going to be. The libero Scanferla is young and the staff is asking him to pass too much of the court.
Gardini is not leading this team in the right direction. Look for another setter quickly. Heck try Shaw there at this point.
Talent is wasting here.
