There will be no men’s and women’s Club World Championships this year, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) decided.

Following the decision of its Board of Administration, the FIVB announced the cancellation of both Club World Championships that were to be held this year. Such a decision was explained with the “uncertainty regarding travel and fan attendance” as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

By the end of October, the FIVB is to launch an invitation to bid for the 2021 editions.
