It’s now clear that the rematch of the 2020 Champions League quarterfinals between the home side Imoco and Stuttgart won’t take place as scheduled, which is on March 10. When and where the game will take place is yet unknown.

Kim Renkema, Sporting Director of German champions, said in an interview with SWR that the second leg won’t be played in Italy. Imoco are based in northern Italy, a coronavirus crisis area in Europe. That’s why it wasn’t even clear for a long time if the first match in Stuttgart will take place. However, the rematch poses greater problems and questions for the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).

SWR reported that, on Thursday evening, it was announced that the second leg will be postponed for the time being.
