Louisa-Lippmann
The Best Opposite Spiker of the 2020 CEV European Olympic Qualifier, Lippmann, made her debut in beach volleyball.
At the Top 8 tournament (serve as a preparation for the German beach volley Championship) in Düsseldorf, she teamed up with Isabell Schneider but failed to achieve a single win in three matches. These two had only four training sessions together after Schneider’s regular partner, Viktoria Bieneck, got injured but will likely recover for the next of the three tournaments of the series.
Another German indoor volleyball star, but a former one, Margareta Kozuch takes part in the tournament as well. However, that’s far from novelty given that the five-time German Volleyball Player of the Year switched to beach volleyball four years ago. She’s the partner of the Olympic champion Laura Ludwig.
