The Italian women’s volleyball side Golden Tulip VolAlto 2.0 Caserta engaged the China National Team player.

Zheng Yixin came to the club fighting to avoid relegation in Serie A directly from China.

The middle blocker spent the first part of the season in Guangdong, finishing 4th in the Chinese Championship. The 24-year-old player won the gold medal with the country’s U20 national team in the 2013 FIVB World Championship. Two years later, Yixin took the gold medal in the Asian U23 Championship. With the senior national team, she claimed the title in the Asian Volleyball Cup twice (2016, 2018) and in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Champions Cup.

Caserta found themselves in the middle of a scandal for letting go of nearly half of the squad, mostly foreigners, and played the first couple of matches in 2020 with several youth team members instead of them.

INTERVIEW: Hippe for WoV – “Live in the moment and make the best out of it”

'Until a year ago, Hippe was an indispensable member of the Germany National Team.' is not correct. She has not been playing for the national team since 2013. Reply

For the first time in history, Italy won’t participate in VNL

Well Sports Fans, the reality is that Italy won't be alone and you can bet more Federations will do the same as this worlwide pandemic evolves. Summer sports for all will not be happening and I can forsee European Leagues holding off until late October and November. Budgets for all clubs and federations are in a holding pattern until we get a better grip on this virus. Its actually a smart decision by the Italians. Hopefully the Atheltes use this time to rest and strengthen their bodies Reply
