Cucine Lube Civitanova victoriously opened their 2020/21 Italian men’s volleyball Championship campaign.


Cucine Lube Civitanova conquered the AGSM Forum in Verona, a venue that they won’t remember by well after losing to Sir Safety Conad Perugia in the Super Cup final, three days ago.

The team coached by Ferdinando De Giorgi defeated the home side of NBV Verona in Round 1 of the 2020/21 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season. Thus, Verona extended their losing streak that includes the preliminary stage of the Italian Cup (0-4).

Luxembourger Kamil Rychlicki top-scored Lube with 13 points. Simone Anzani made 4 blocks, while Fabio Balaso had 71 % reception (29 % perfect). Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski put down 14 points.
