The most titled club of the Spanish men’s volleyball Championship, Unicaja Costa de Almería, signed the famous name.

Unicaja Costa de Almería signed the famous Cuban international Javier Jiménez for the 2020/21 season.

The 30-year-old outside hitter is known as the first player from this country who got permission from the federation to play abroad, which was back in 2015 when he moved to Greece and won the two championship titles with P.A.O.K.

Jiménez, a one-time Pan American Cup winner and the Rio Olympics participant, has spent the last season in Estonian Saaremaa VK. He was one of the players for which it was revealed to be tested positive for the new coronavirus.
