Succumbing to the pressure of the clubs, the League has decided to ask Tifanny’s club Golem Software Palmi to present, as promised, the medical documents, not known so far by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) or by the Italian Volleyball Federation (Fipav), confirming the change of the athlete’s gender.
Also, the League urged Fipav to define legislation on the participation of transgender athletes whilst all the clubs have committed to wait for these rules to be brought before proceeding to new enrollments of transgender athletes.
