How would you describe last two seasons in Zaksa?
„It was very positive, but sometimes disappointing. I had the chance to improve a lot in Poland. I was playing every single match for 2 seasons. I grew up as a player and learned how to deal with every kind of situation on the field. I feel stronger now after 2 years like that. We won the Polish Cup, that was a very happy moment for me, the team and the fans, but our last season was not so good in terms of the results. We had bad luck with players’ injuries and the season was, in my opinion, disappointing because I am ambitious and always play to reach the highest levels with my team.“
Was there a chance that you stay in Zaksa?
„I received a super warm treatment from the Zaksa fans and I will always thank them. They strongly asked me to stay so I was open to speak with the club, but after a while it became clear to me that, for the club, my situation was the last to deal with. I’m not saying anything about that, but for this reason, I think the right answer to this question is no.“
What was your reaction when you received an offer from Halkbank?
„I was extremely happy. Halkbank means a lot to me. I know they treat players very well in Turkey and that club ensures perfect conditions for a high-level sport. I will have strong teammates, play again in the Champions League and the coach is Lorenzo Bernardi. I think he can give me positive advices and we can do a lot of good together.“
What are your expectations in Halkbank and for how many seasons have you signed?
„I expect that we will show a high-level volleyball in every competition in which we will play. All positive results are more than welcome. I signed for 1+1.“
How much did previous experiences in different leagues shaped you as a player now?
„Very much. Every country gave me different things. In Italy I learned from coaches and older guys the best technique of volleyball. In Poland I gained experience and minutes on the field.“
What are your expectations with the national team in the 2015 World League?
„I hope we can go to the finals. I also have my wedding celebration this summer, so it would be a dream if I could come back home with a medal.“
