Is it better for Australian players to go abroad as soon as possible or to play few years in a home country and then leave?

„To go abroad as soon as possible. We have no league in Australia, no professional league. It’s a very low-level league, so they should go to get more game experience on a high level.“

When a player returns to Australia how does he prepare himself?

„Ususally we train. There is a lot of practicing.“

The improvement in your play is very visible. What did you improve the most on you?

„Consistency and serving as well. And trying to stay comitted to the game. The consistency makes difference at this level.“

What do you think about the performance of an Australian team in the World League so far?

„It’s been an impovement. We knew it’s going to be a big struggle especially with a few key players out for this season. We’re really looking forward to play the Olympic qualifications. So, the important thing in World League is the team’s improvement and not just winning. Of course we want to win, but the big goal is to peak at the right time and I think we’ll step up as time goes by.“

In a previous season you played in Estonian Selver Tallinn. What are your plans for the next season?

„Next season I’m going back to Australia. I resigned with my club in Estonia, but I will return there after the World Cup in September.“
