Mohamed Al Hachdadi
The Moroccan international has introduced himself to the fans in France with amazing performances in the first three rounds. He doesn’t want to stop on his journey to the volleyball stars…
– Your introduction to the fans in France was absolutely amazing. In the first three games, you scored 75 points to join the top 3 scorers in the French league. What’s your secret?
“Secret?” – asks Mohamed with a smile at the beginning of the interview and adds – “There is no secret, all the story is the result of what you’ve done during the training sessions, so if you focus and train hard, you will succeed in the matches and I have one thing to add – the brain is the most important part on the athlete’s body and I personally use it during the training sessions more than my body. That may be the secret.”
– What’s your personal goal in this season?
“My personal goal for this season is to be the best scorer and best opposite in the league.”
– How would you describe the French league, comparing it with the other leagues?
“The French league wasn’t like I expected because almost all the teams have the same level. The team that is in a good shape will win.”
– Did you get used to living in France?
“Yes, I did, definitely. Especially because I don’t have any problems with the language and people are so kind and I like everything.”
You have celebrated the ace point like Cristiano Ronaldo. Why did you choose that way to celebrate an ace?
“For me, Ronaldo has the best image that any athlete would dream to have. In my life, I almost passed through the same circumstances like him and I like the way he works so hard to reach his goals and I’m going on the same way, working so hard and let it in the hands of God. That’s why I celebrate like him, we have the same goals.”
– How do you spend your free time there?
“I spend my free time doing extra work and taking care of my pregnant wife.”
– What would you do for living if you were not a volleyball player?
“If I were not a volleyball player, I would want to be a chiropractor.”
– What is your message for the young volleyball players?
“My message for the young players is that “impossible” is just a word and if you want to do something, you can do it! Just believe in yourself and don’t let the others judge you, just be you,” says Mohamed Al Hachdadi and adds – “I want to say that without God, my family support and my great agent Diego Velazquez, I think you would not hear about me…”
