Azerrail vs. Lokomotiv
According to apasport.az, Azerrail Baku (reigning champions), Telecom Baku, Azeryol Baku and the Junior Team of Azerbaijan are those 4 teams that will start the following season.
Lokmotiv Baku will almost certainly withdraw from the competition, as the club has serious financial problems, while the situation about Georgian team VC Tbilisi is still not clear. They were invited to join the Azerbaijani Championship in the last season, but they had just a dreadful score – 0 wins and 20 defeats!
Therefore the Azerbaijani Championship may become the league with the smallest number of teams in the 2016/17 season.
Recall that the Azerbaijani Championship will have a new rule about the number of foreign players per team.
