BRA M: CBV knocks down veterans’ rankings

CBV (Brazilian Volleyball Confederation) released new players' rankings for the upcoming male Superliga season. Players like Giba, Escadinha, Gustavo, Ricardinho and Marcelinho had their rankings dropped. Bruninho, Lucao and Murilo jumped and now RJX is in a tough situation.

Players like Giba, Escadinha, Gustavo, Ricardinho and Marcelinho had their rankings dropped. Giba plummeted from 7 to 3, Escadinha from 6 to 3.

A lot of young players got a point increase, like Sidao and Wallace who now have 6 points.

RJX is now in a tough situation, they already have three players with rank 7, Dante, Bruninho and Lucao which prevents them from hiring another top player.

151 players were ranked, each team can have a maximum 3 rank 7 players, total score of each team can’t exceed 32 points, players that arive outside Brazil have their score reset, older players lose points with age. With 36 they lose 1 point, 37 2, 38 3, 39 4 and 40 year old players lose 5 ranking points.
