Sada Cruzeiro block crushed São Bernardo
Sada Cruzeiro, current runner-up of the competition, played an opening match and started fighting for third final after winning São Bernardo Vôlei by 3-0 (21-16, 21-15 and 21-16) in gymnasium “Poliesportivo do Riacho” in Contagem-Minas Gerais.
The next Friday, on September 13, the “celeste” returns to Riachão for another match for the national championship. At 20:00, Sada Cruzeiro will face Montes Claros Vôlei.
Captain William won the trophy VivaVôlei, for the best player on the court. With 12 points the opposite Wallace was the best scorer of the duel, followed by Leal and rookie Luis Diaz, both 10.
Another reinforcement, the middle blocker Isac made his first appearance for Sada Cruzeiro, precisely against his former club, wearing the jersey number 12, and made positive debut.
On the first set, Sada Cruzeiro had demonstrated superiority over rival. With the serve working well, the team from Minas Gerais broke the pass of São Bernardo and took advantage of the counter-attacks. On the other hand, the reception of Cruzeiro stood out, and with the pass in the hand, William distributed balls well.
In the second set, visitors balanced the duel, but it was not enough to stop the “celeste”, which set good blocks and continued pulling with great efficiency.
The blocks continued making a difference in the final set, especially with rookie Isac, who scored three times at the beginning and contributed to the victory of the home side.
