The team that participates in Brazilian Super League hired opposite Leandro Martins “Leandrão”, receivers/outside hitters Renato Hermely and André Santos and middle blocker Igor Iuri. All four were presented on a press conference and soon after, they started to train with the rest of the team.

André came from São Bernardo Vôlei and will strengthen UFJF in the final stage of the regional Minas Games, which will be played on October 10-15.

Experienced Renato arrived from Division 2 team Vôlei UninCor/Três Corações, previously performing for Voltaço and having several seasons in Super League with this club before it shut down in 2014.

A 23-year-old Leandrão, with his 2.17m, will be the tallest player in the next season’s Brazilian championship, according to the registered rosters so far. His last club was Blumenau Vôlei, Division 2.

Young Igor was the second best blocker of the Super League last season, playing for São Bernardo Vôlei.
