As „Melhor do Vôlei“ reported, the first-ever volleyball player who has competed in both Men’s and Women’s competition will leave Genter Vôlei Bauru and go to play in Europe as soon as she becomes fully ready to compete.

A 22-year-old Tifanny, who underwent a sex change in 2014 and played in Italian Division 2 side Golem Software Palmi last season, which was her first season to compete as a woman, trains with Bauru for a while already. The Brazilian Superliga club gave her a chance to fully recover from a left-hand surgery that she had a few months ago.

„Now, I’ve entered the physical part (of the training) and I’m still way below the girls. So, I still need some time to fully recover. My focus, at the moment, is only on my recovery and physical restoration. My intention is to return to Europe as soon as possible,“ Tifanny said.
