The Berlin Recycling Volleys secured a 3-1 victory against Tours in the CEV Champions League Playoff Round, with a standout performance at the Max-Schmeling-Halle witnessed by 4,387 fans. This win puts them in a strong position for the return match in France, needing two set wins to advance to the quarterfinals.

The game opened with high energy from the BR Volleys. Key players like Timothée Carle and Nehemiah Mote led Berlin to a first-set win. Despite a setback in the second set, Berlin rebounded with remarkable serves and defensive plays, especially from captain Ruben Schott.

Schott’s pivotal performance, featuring 18 points and four aces, was crucial in winning the game. Additionally, Marek Sotola contributed 15 points and Timothée Carle added 13 to Berlin’s tally.

Aboubakar Drame Neto and Märt Tammearu each scored 13 points, leading the scoring for Tours.
