Hypo Tirol has advanced to the group stage of the CEV Champions League after defeating Orion Stars in the final qualification round. Despite a strong effort from the Dutch team, Orion Stars, they couldn’t overturn their 3-0 loss from the first leg in Innsbruck. Hypo Tirol secured a straight-sets victory (20-25, 21-25, 24-26) in the return match, held in Doetinchem. With this win, Hypo Tirol moves on, while Orion Stars will now compete in the CEV Cup.
