Galatasaray SK İstanbul arranged the first-class surprise in Round 2 of the 2018 CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League!

The Turkish runners-up Galatasaray SK İstanbul shocked home side Dinamo Moscow in the second round of the female 2018 CEV Champions League – Pool D, 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 25-17).

Galatasaray had a slight advantage in all segments of a play: served aces 8-6, kill blocks 12-9, excellent attack 46% – 40%, and a significant advantage in excellent reception 33% – 24%.

Each side had two double-digit players but with Galatasaray’s duo being much more productive. Neslihan Demir Güler made 25 points (5 aces), while Tatyana Kosheleva added 23 points (3 kill blocks). Nataliya Goncharova scored 20 points and Nataliya Krotkova 12 points for the Russian titleholders Dinamo, who suffered their first loss in the tournament. Galatasaray, on the other hand, achieved their first win.

Kosheleva very good move that she plays abroad and not in Russia. Such Goncharova star should also try to try abroad. Dinamo Moscow needs to find someone offensive player, because with this game Dinamo Kazan will win the Russian Champion.
