Tonight, Eczacibasi defeated SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN in away match after only three sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-20) and now they have an advantage before the re-match in Istanbul.
Turkish Tigers are very close to repeating the success in this competition from 1999 when Eczacibasi won this CEV’s tournament.
Serbian opposite Tijana Bošković had a brilliant night. She had over 79% in attack (29-23) and scored 23 points with only 2 errors in the serve.
Also, we must say that Schwerin didn’t have a chance because of the great block of Eczacibasi, especially of Rachael Adams who scored 6 blocks out of 11 which the whole team scored in total.
In the German team, Louisa Lippmann was the best scorer with 13 points followed by Lauren Barfield who scored 12 points.
The second match is scheduled for March 20 in Istanbul.
