Colombia, Bulgaria and Puerto Rico will play in the semifinals of the 2018 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup while the last semifinalist will be decided after match Peru vs. Hungary.

Colombia

Colombia

On Day 2 of the tournament in Lima, Colombia crushed Hungary in straight sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-7) to finish top of their pool. Dayana Segovia Elles and Amanda Coneo once again were the top scorers of the winning team with 14 points each while Bernadette Dekany scored 13 points for Hungary.

It was important to win today with an advantage on the scoreboard and to seek to secure the first place in Pool A. This victory was important because it consolidates the growth of the project we have for Colombia,” said Antonio Rizola Neto, Colombia’s coach.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico destroyed Australia 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-15) to secure their semifinal. Daly Santana was the only player to score double digits in the match, with 10 points.

We are very happy with the result because we have been working for this,” added Puerto Rico captain Natalia Valentin. “Our team is young, but with a strong desire to achieve our goals and that is what we are working for.”
