Tandara, a 28-year-old receiver of Brazil, could not hide the emotions after the match in the Final Six in which her team beat Serbia to go to the finals and in which she was the best scorer.

After congratulating her teammates for the win and not separating herself from the rest of the group, Tandara has spoken about the criticism she was not a worthy replacement for legendary Sheilla Castro in Brazil’s lineup that she has been suffering for a while.

“It’s hard because everyone criticized me a lot and everybody does a comparison of me and Sheilla. Sheilla is a person I think about a lot and from whom I learned a lot! I am happy for having the responsibility she had before. I thank her for every word and every thought lesson,” Tandara said in tears.
