The reigning French men’s volleyball club champions Cannes made the change on their bench.
Cannes announced the separation from their head coach Horacio Dileo, who is replaced by Nikola Matijašević. Being last-placed (12 defeats in 14 matches) in the 2021/22 French Championship, which is a catastrophic result given they are titleholders, Cannes have decided to part ways with the Argentine expert who came in the off-season instead of Luc Marquet.
Cannes called a well-known coach from Ligue A – Nikola Matijašević. The Serbian has worked in France for 26 years in three clubs, most recently in Rennes (until 2020). Matijašević was dismissed from the bench of the North Macedonia Men’s National Team this summer in an unprecedented way about which he talked about in an interview for our website. Last season, the 68-year-old expert commanded Greece’s PAOK Thessaloniki. Matijašević should lead his first match on the Cannes’ bench on Saturday against Tours, the leaders of the French League.
