WL: French head coach angry on journalists – „We need stronger support“

The French head coach, Laurent Tillie, expressed his disapproval on how media in that country covered participation of his national team in the World League Final Six.

He was asked if he thought that going on a competition which is qualification for the Olympics had to be highlighted more by the media?

„Yes, because the French media are watching sports only through Olympic telescope. It’s true that we need that. The Olympics, it’s a dream, so it’s a satisfaction for the players and the team to participate. It has always been the poor relation of media for the team sport,“ Tillie said.

France will face Brazil at the opening of the Final Six in Rio de Janeiro.
