György Grozer
Germany opened the game very good. The opposite of Belogorie, György Grozer, was on fire. Germany won a challenge to make it 23-16. Then, Grozer put in a huge serve and a spike to finish off the set 25-16.
Thanks to the big serving of Grozer, Germany took the lead in the second set as well 5-2. At the first TTO they had 8-4. Later, Another Grozer spike point took Germany to the 2nd technical timeout 16-12 ahead…They kept the advantage and clinched the set!
Germany continued to play well in the third set, young team of Cuba couldn’t do anything and Heynen’s team took the first victory!
Grozer was the best scorer with 19, Kaliberda added 10 while Javier Ernesto Jimenez Scull had 15 in Cuba’s jersey.
