After six weeks of intensive work, these players will be playing at the World Champs:

Setters: Giannelli, Baranowicz

Middle blockers: Anzani, Mazzone, Candellaro, Cester

Outside hitters: Lanza, Juantorena, Maruotti, Randazzo

Opposites: Zaytsev, Nelli

Liberos: Colaci, Rossini

“It’s easy to make these choices but it’s a part of the head coach’s job. Now, we need to prepare workloads, reducing as much as possible the risks of medical or technical hitches. These choices always take into account many aspects, not just the individual ones, including the chemistry and technical balance…” says Blengini.

Two players that have been crossed out are Oleg Antonov and Roberto Russo.
