A few days ago, after traveling to Slovenia’s capital city, CUNEO downed their opponents quite easily and in only 81 minutes of play. However, the group mentored by Roberto Piazza needs to score a second victory to eventually make it to the Playoffs 6 without going through the golden set.

“Our goal was to perform our best in the home match but we did not quite succeed” says ACH Volley captain Andrej Flajs. “Next week we shall be more focused and efficient especially with our counter-attacks”.

“We definitely want to make it to the next round and possibly play MACERATA there” stresses CUNEO libero Daniele De Pandis. “If we play with the same quality and determination we did show in Slovenia, I think we can score a second win and finish it off without any golden set which is always a kind of lottery”.

“We did not play as we had thought initially because I could test some more options and all players responded well” says head coach Roberto Piazza. “That victory was the result of the hard work we had gone through before our journey to Ljubljana”.

“We have showed that our group is improving and I am also happy with the team spirit that was to be felt in Ljubljana adds team captain Wout Wijsmans. “We have to keep momentum and we shall be doing this in the Champions League as well as in the national championship”.
