The unofficial Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship winners Imoco Volley Conegliano announced to extend the contract with the head coach Daniele Santarelli.

Imoco confirmed that Santarelli will continue performing the role of a head coach. The 38-year-old expert will thus command the Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile side for the fourth consecutive season, previously winning 2 championships, 1 Cup, 2 Super Cups, and 1 FIVB Club World Championship. This year, Imoco was at the top of the regular season at the moment of the premature ending and have progressed to the CEV Champions League semifinal. Santarelli is also the head coach of the Croatian Women’s National Team.

At the same time, Imoco hired talented French player Lucille Gicquel. The 22-year-old opposite hitter came from Nantes and is projected to backup Paola Egonu.
