Alberto Giuliani‘s team had problems with injuries. The company asked him to come to Italy to devote himself exclusively to Kovar and Savani, given the undeniable difficulties that the new physiotherapist of Cucine Lube Banca Marche Marco Frontaloni had. It ‘took just one phone call, and David set immediately on a plane to Italy.
“His work – says the sports director Stefano Recine – together with that of our physical therapist Frontaloni and athletic trainer Merazzi, has been instrumental in the recovery of the highest level of Kovar and Savani, both medically and physically. For David, who I have known for nine years, I also want to say that it is always an honor to work with him, both in professional and personal terms. Now he is one of the family, we are all very grateful.“
David Diaz Cueli spent four very intense months in Italy: “With both Jiri and with Cristian – says David – we have worked tirelessly for many hours daily, dividing between swimming pool, weight room and bed infirmary. We were working also on Christmas and all other holidays. But at last the work was awarded, as well as strong dedication with which both players faced a long period of rehabilitation. latter factor, as always, was really crucial.“
And before he said goodbye, he was keen to make his thanks: “First I thank the company for entrusting the task of caring for the rehabilition of two major players such as Kovar and Savani, that gave me great responsibility, and great confidence. Professionally it filled me with pride. And then of course I also thank the entire medical and technical staff. I was nervous, like I had to play for them. And yet excited and moved. Sensations, they are representing the beauty of my job.“
