Linkem Cup A1 final Game 3

Itas Diatec Trentino – Copra Elior Piacenza

(1-1)

Past encounters: 37 (23-14 Trento)

Regular season: 2 (Trentop won both, 3-1 home, and 3-2 away).

Precedenti nei Play Off: 15 meetings: 5 in the quarters (3-2 Piacenza); 10 times in the finals (5 each)

Matey Kaziyski (Itas Diatec Trentino): “Game 3 will definitely be another battle; I don’t know a priori if it will go like in the previous two games but it’s obvious that we’ll have to make the court advantage count if we don’t want to find ourselves in a tricky situation on May 5 in Piacenza. We need a big performance and we know we can find one. It’s 1-1, we have more indications compared to when it was 0-0”.

Hristo Zlatanov (Copra Elior Piacenza): “Last Thursday in Game 1, we have been influenced by Trento’s pressure, while on Sunday night, at home, we managed to play with more composure. We can say that game 2 was the exact mirror of the encounter at the PalaTrento arena. Game 3 in Trento will be extremely important for both teams. We cannot deny that Trento is the favourite for the title, they have real warriors, but if we stay focused, nothing is impossible, we are a good team too. The most important thing, for the whole team, is to stay concentrated and be aware that we have our chance”.
