Macerata squad was trailing 0-2 at home court against Verona, but managed to turn things around and escape with 3-2 victory.
“I was expecting tension from my team, but not this much. We were very nervous in the first two sets and the opponent used that. In the break between second and third set I told to players that they have to believe in victory. And they once again showed a great reaction. This is indeed a precious win” said Alberto Giuliani, head coach of Macerata.
The second legs of quarterfinals are scheduled for 30th March.
