Michele Groppi has officially become a Reggio Emilia player. Born in 1986 in Genova, he grew up in Modena where he fell in love with volleyball.

Groppi will be the back-up setter as he is the club’s third recruit after Brad Lawson and Giorgio Barbareschi. Groppi went to study in the prestigious US university of Stanford where, funnily enough, he meet a certain Brad Lawson, Reggio’s new spiker. The two became great friends.
