After the match, Piazza gave a short statement for WorldofVolley:

“Of course it was difficult game because Perugia is really strong. Also, we have been together for only ten days now, experiencing some physical problems along the way, so it was not so easy to play on a high level.”

Your team was down by 5:9 in the tie-break, how did you manage to come back from that deficit?

“I have to be honest, I think it was a lucky day. Last season, if you remember, in the fifth set they exchanged the court sides exactly at the same result for Perugia. After that Modena won the championship. Today was the same situation. Now we had only different actors. Psychology was exactly the same. At the end, these two teams are at the same level.”
