The new season in Italy starts today, with all 7 games scheduled for 18:00 (CET). Still, not all teams will have the full roster available for the season opener.

Verona will not be able to count on Mitar Djurić and Alexandre Ferreira who are with their national teams, while Aidan Zingel has just recovered from ankle injury and he will probably miss today’s clash vs Latina.

Aleksandar Atanasijević is still recovering from injury, so he should only watch the game between Piacenza and his Perugia. Still, the good news is that he will probably be on the bench, which means that he might soon play volleyball again.

On the other side, Piacenza will be without Leonel Marshall who is still waiting to be registered as domestic player in Italy.

Lube are in problems before the match against Monza as Dragan Stanković and Klemen Cebulj have minor physical problems.

Ravenna will step into the new season without Van Garderen, who is still injured and will therefore miss the 1st round of 2016/17 Serie A1.

Finally one positive info – Trentino should be stronger for Simon Van de Voorde who has recently joined the team and he might play in the match against Vibo Valentia.
