Does this mean that we will once again see Murilo Endres wear the yellow shirt of Brazil?!

After he was unable to play at the Rio Olympics due to calf injury, Murilo Endres announced that he is retiring from the national team. However, couple of months later, Brazilian volleyball legend says that he may still play for Brazil…

“It is hard to talk about retirement. It’s not that I do not want to play for the national team, the point is that I do not know if I can physically be at the required level. I would love to continue playing for Brazil, but I suppose it will not happen, as another 4-year cycle will be very difficult to accomplish. Still, no one would reject a call…” said 35-year old player.

Murilo also gave an example of libero Serginho who retired after the London Olympics, missed the action in 2013 and 2014, but then returned to the national team and led Brazil toward the Olympic gold in 2016.

“After London 2012 he thought it was time for him to take a break, so he made a two-year pause. I think it was very good for him.”

Is there a chance that Murilo Endres will do something similar?
