Last night after the second match of the semifinals against Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena, he ended his job in Imoco Volley Conegliano with a warm applause. Before he starts new experience with the National team, he said:
“I am very sorry for these two game against Modena. I was not able to resolve this situation. I will never say that we lost beacuse we were missing some players, we lost because we didn’t give our maximum, myself included.” said Mazzanti who never looks for alibis.
“My biggest regret is that we didn’t play as we know, like we did against Dinamo Moscow when we showed who we are. We lost four games in six months, then four in less than a month – It is something unexplainable. This was a great year, we had many difficulties and changes, but we always found the right solutions. I regret a little for the girls of the bench who have done a great job and I could not give more space to them in the season finale. I can’t believe that two years have already been finished, but I have to move on. My sincere thanks to the company and wonderful fans.” said Mazzanti.
