Panasonic Panthers player Michal Kubiak revealed some interesting info about the Japanese volleyball championship in the interview for przegladsportowy.pl.
“Here in Japan, there is difference between amateur and professional players. Once a week, amateur players must go to the office of the team sponsor after the practice and work there for two hours. Therefore, the company is preparing them for the life after volleyball. For example, my colleagues from Panasonic Panthers all have guaranteed jobs in Panasonic after their finish their careers. Of course, I am speaking only about the amateur players. When it comes to professionals, there are less than 10 of them in the league, and they usually start their own business after the end of their volleyball careers,” explains Michal Kubiak in the interview for przegladsportowy.pl.
