The Egyptian squad recovered from the previous loss against Korea and won 3-0 (28-26, 25-15, 25-10) with a solid performance by Mohamed Hassan, who scored 17 points, followed by Mohamed Mahmoud (10). On the Algerian side, Larbi Hadroug tallied 13.
The setting game was key to Egypt’s success with Ahmed Elashry by excelling in 21 occasions and contributing to a 1-1 record for his team which will play Brazil on Saturday. Meanwhile Algeria is 0-2 and will match Korea, also in the third day of activities of Pool D.
