The women’s volleyball team will play qualifying matches against Germany and Romania in Zadar from May 7 to 9, and after the first day of the gathering, selector Miodrag Stojaković will say:

We gathered for the second time in Zadar for the qualification tournament with which we want to win a place at the European Championship. We will try to take advantage of the host of the qualifying tournament and qualify for the final review. Rivals are known to us, Romanians and Germans, we hope to win and achieve the goal with this good generation. Compared to the first gathering, we have now made some changes in the lineup, so we hope to be a shade better and stronger than in the previous tournament.“

The selector of the men’s U17 national team, Antonio Surać, who has strong national teams from France, Belarus and Latvia as rivals in the qualifying group, also changed the composition somewhat compared to the first gathering. After the first day, he says:

We have changed several players, and we hope that this will bring us success in these qualifiers. We looked at the rivals and I have to admit that they are all very well arranged. We, on the other hand, can promise that we will do our best and that we will fight, and we will see on the ground what that will be enough in the end. After the first training on Monday, we will also know the current state of our players, as the Covid 19 virus has further disturbed us. There is no real rhythm of matches, no constant training, there are always some interruptions in competitions, but in the end we hope for a positive outcome.“
