Japan started motivated to payback for the defeat in the previous game. It was leading from the start of the first set and won 19:25.
Second set looked much better for the host who started strong and led 13:9. Later in the set it seemed that Netherlands will tie when it was 19:15, but Japan stepped up and won 22:25.
In the third it was all Japan, which it won with a convincing 14:25.
“We played a sloppy game and our communication was poor. We may have played yesterday beyond our limit, but today we played below. We will try to correct the mistakes in the following games” Gido Vermeulen said.
