This will be the fourth time that a team from Puerto Rico will take part in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship.
Puerto Rico’s Changos Naranjito were part of the eight team line up in the third edition of the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship in 1991 which took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Plataneros of Corozal took part in the Championship in Treviso, Italy in 1992 and more recently in Qatar, Doha in the 2009 edition of the tournament.
