Levski is once again in very difficult situation. There is no money, club is barely surviving, and solution is nowhere to find. Vladimir Nikolov, a former player of Levski and a current member of the club’s management, stated that situation is alarming.
“We are looking for sponsors, but we still haven’t find any. Volleyball is simply not so popular to attract investors in this period of financial crisis. There are many promises, but no real action. Levski can remain in this format, but this is an amateur level. In the last season only two coaches received salaries, while players did not get any money. I do not know whether it make sense to continue. The boys are motivated only by the fact that they might continue career abroad one day. Maybe we could endure another year, but I ask you – What is the point? I have no answer” said Nikolov for Bulgarian Sport Subject.
