The group has undergone some changes, as middle blocker Stepan Smrcka has retired from competitive Volleyball, while opposite Radek Motys has moved to Belgium.
“Our team was joined by three players, namely middle blocker Vladimir Sobotka, wing spiker Peter Platenik and opposite Michal Krisko” says head coach Jan Svoboda. The youngest player in the group will be outside hitter Petr Sulista. “We have set high goals for the coming season, as we want to reach the final of the national league and perform well in the European Cups. It is difficult to determine our goal there, but we want to take every single point as we play strong opponents, something we do not get in the national league. Lokomotiv is the clear-cut favorite of the group” stresses the Czech mentor.
