China took one hour 43 minutes to edge Chinese Taipei 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 28-26) to join Iran, Japan and India in the semifinals. China held advantages of 13-7 and 2-0 in blocks and serves respectively while Chinese Taipei had a margin of 63-56 advantage in attacks.
