In a dramatic showdown, Kazan’s Dinamo-Ak Bars staged an incredible comeback to defeat Leningradka Saint Petersburg 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-13, 25-17, 15-13) and secure their eighth Russian Cup title.
The match started with Leningradka dominating the first two sets, but Dinamo-Ak Bars, led by an unstoppable Brayelin Martínez with 33 points, refused to back down. Gaila González’s powerful serve in the third set completely shifted the momentum, setting the stage for an epic finish.
Despite strong performances by Leningradka’s Anastasiya Chernova and Valeriya Romanova, the team fell short in the final moments.
