Belogorie Belgorod announced some very important info about the team roster for the 2016/17 season. Firstly, the club has signed two players – Maxim Zhigalov and Ian Iereshchenko!
Zhigalov actually returns to Belogorie, where he spent almost his entire career. The Russian opposite has played in this club till last summer when he decided to go to Kuzbass Kemerovo. It turned out as an excellent call, as Zhigalov was one of the top scorers of the Russian Superleague in the previous season, which was quite enough for Belogorie Belgorod to get him back home.
Iereshchenko spent the last season in Gaqzprom-Yugra, with which he reached the CEV Cup Finals.
Also, Belogorie Belgorod stated that the club terminated contract with Gyorgy Grozer after a mutual agreement. The german player will continue career in Shanghai, China.
Also, the Russian powerhouse has revealed that it will mostly rely on domestic players in the next season.
