The semifinals of the 2020 Men’s Volleyball South American Club Championship in Contagem, Brazil, are defined after the last round of the pool stage. The clashes between teams from the same country, those of Argentina and Brazil, will decide the finalists.

The hosts Sada Cruzeiro will play against countrymen EMS Taubaté Funvic in the semifinals of the 2020 Campeonato Sudamericano de Clubes in Contagem, Brazil, while UPCN San Juan Voley Club and Bolívar Voley are to fight in the Argentinean “clásico” for a place in a decider.

The final pool’s classification was defined with Round 3. In a direct duel for the only remaining spot in the semis, Bolívar swept Uruguayan side Juan Ferreira with a score of 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-16) and settled at No.2 in Pool B, behind the undefeated Cruzeiro.

UPCN closed the preliminary phase of the tournament by achieving a win over the current Brazilian champions Taubaté (3-1), to be awarded the top spot in Pool A.
